Parents Enjoy Singapore on Business
My mother and father went to Singapore on a business trip. It was actually my mom who was there for business. She works in some kind of communication development field and travels quite a bit for her work. My father is a lawyer and so his work is always locally based. However, sometimes the location my mother has to travel to sounds incredibly interesting to him, so he arranges to go with her. That works out well for both of them. It also works out well for me because I’ll be leaving for college next year and I can use all the alone time here at the house I can get. We have a nice pool in the backyard and my friends and I get to enjoy a nice swim and barbeque when they’re gone. Oh, my parents know about it, and don’t care. There’s just the usually safety and legal issues I have to follow, which I do.
So, since my mom and dad were making this a sort of vacation and work combination, they decided to stay in outside of the city, in a quiet little inn, however my mom’s company reserved rooms for everyone in one of the luxury Singapore business hotels, which was also where many of the meetings would occur, so they decided to stay there instead. Plus, it was a really nice resort and had excellent amenities and accommodations.
Because my mother was there for business, she and my father didn’t get to spend a lot of time sight seeing, though they were able to see a production of Cantonese Opera, which they described as unforgettable and spectacular. They were absolutely impressed with the costumes and also the movement. My father would frequently go to one of the golfing during the day while my mother was working. They enjoyed their time there so much that they decided to go back sometime strictly as a vacation. They also want to take me with them, which will be nice.
